Bugatti design boss Achim Anscheidt said: Bugatti's design DNA has reached a new stage in its evolution. In view of the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo will be exaggerated and extremely performance-oriented.
Achim Anscheidt, head of the Bugatti design team said that the next Bugatti will adopt a toned-down version of the concept's looks: Given the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo is overstated and pushes performance to the limits, but its progressive design language will clearly show the direction that Bugatti's design will take in the coming years.
The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo was developed in close collaboration with Bugatti engineers to ensure every vehicle component could conceivably have a real performance function, although it has been stripped down for racing. Florian Umbach, head of chassis development at Bugatti, said: For Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, we've geared every parameter to maximum performance, unlike with our production car, where it goes without saying that comfort and easy handling are also key factors.
Bugatti's engineers calculate that the Vision Gran Turismo could potentially attain speeds of more than 250mph on four sections of the Le Mans track.

It's been designed and engineered by Bugatti, exclusively for Gran Turismo 6 on the PlayStation. Bugatti tells us this Vision GT previews the next generation of Bugatti's design language. Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is the first stage on a new journey that Bugatti is embarking on following the successful completion of its Veyron chapter, explains Bugatti chief Wolfgang Dürheimer, and which will culminate in the unveiling of the next Bugatti super sports car in the not too distant future.
The result - the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo - is not exactly a 'real' car, but one designed specifically for Gran Turismo's Vision Gran Turismo series of concept vehicles. Bugatti says that the virtual project also previews Bugatti's future design language and implies elements will appear in the Chiron, the follow-up to the Veyron. Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is the first stage on a new journey that Bugatti is embarking on following the successful completion of its Veyron chapter, and which will culminate in the unveiling of the next Bugatti super sports car in the not too distant future, said Wolfgang Dürheimer, president of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. This project showcases Bugatti's new design language, which we have developed to celebrate this new chapter in our company history.
Bugatti ended up selling all 450 production Veyron cars, and expects its Chiron follow-up to do as well or better. Bugatti said the Gran Turismo concept draws inspiration directly from the Bugatti Type 57 Tank, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans races in 1937 and 1939. For the French super sports car brand will be presenting its virtual oncept Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, which it developed in cooperation with Polyphony Digital Inc., creator of the Gran Turismo video game franchise, as a real show car. Now Bugatti has published the first digital renderings of the car. The design of the virtual race car is celebrating Bugatti's racing history and is based on state-of-the-art motor sport technology. The historical theme for the design of the Vision Gran Turismo virtual modern race car was, in particular, the Bugatti Type 57 Tank and its victories in the 24-hour Le Mans race in 1937 and 1939. Consequently, the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo makes its appearance in the classic blue two-tone finish of the Type 57 G Tank, the winning car in 1937, simultaneously evoking the colours of the historical French race cars of that period. Since then, blue has also been Bugatti's brand colour. Consequently, the virtual race car was developed in close cooperation with the Bugatti engineers and is based on cutting-edge racing technology and precise aerodynamic analyses.

The proportions of the car are uncompromisingly athletic and shaped to meet the car's performance goals.
The designers have unmistakably transferred the most important characteristics of Bugatti's design DNA into the styling of the virtual race car. Consequently, the side view of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is characterised by the famous Bugatti line. And the virtual race car has also been furnished with the most recognisable symbol of a Bugatti, the horse shoe on the front grille. The horse shoe is flanked by the eight-eyed headlights, which were developed especially for the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo.

The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car has been showcased in a new video. The Vision Gran Turismo concept is driven by a W16 engine that delivers its power to all four wheels.
Bugatti design boss Achim Anscheidt said: Bugatti's design DNA has reached a new stage in its evolution. In view of the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo will be exaggerated and extremely performance-oriented.
Achim Anscheidt, head of the Bugatti design team said that the next Bugatti will adopt a toned-down version of the concept's looks: Given the nature of the project, our concept car for Vision Gran Turismo is overstated and pushes performance to the limits, but its progressive design language will clearly show the direction that Bugatti's design will take in the coming years.
The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo was developed in close collaboration with Bugatti engineers to ensure every vehicle component could conceivably have a real performance function, although it has been stripped down for racing. Florian Umbach, head of chassis development at Bugatti, said: For Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, we've geared every parameter to maximum performance, unlike with our production car, where it goes without saying that comfort and easy handling are also key factors.
Bugatti's engineers calculate that the Vision Gran Turismo could potentially attain speeds of more than 250mph on four sections of the Le Mans track.
The racing car features Bugatti's traditional horseshoe emblem on the front grille. Bugatti claims Vision Gran Turismo is the first vehicle to be upholstered with the material.
Bugatti boss Wolfgang Dürheimer said: Bugatti is the world's most exclusive super sports car brand and Bugatti cars are only available to an extremely small group of automobile connoisseurs.
The Vision Gran Turismo project was announced in 2013, when series creator Kazunori Yamauchi invited 28 vehicle manufacturers to submit designs for their dream two-seat sports car. Gran Turismo players are able to download and drive the Bugatti concept in the game.
